The Make-A-Wish® Triathlon at Sea Colony is an exciting 1.5K ocean swim, 40K bike and 10K run for up to 1,000 athletes. Hosted in Bethany Beach, Del., the event is in its 25th year. Athletes can compete as an individual or a member of a relay team.
The ocean swim, scenic bike and run courses and phenomenal post-race picnic make this race a favorite among both seasoned triathletes and
weekend warriors. This race is approved by the National Triathlon series as a 2008 Delaware state qualifier.
Registration is $125. New this year is a CAN individual prize and a CAN relay team prize.

For individuals who raise $7,000 (the amount it costs to provide one wish), Make-A-Wish will be provide accommodations at a nearby beach house.
D.C. United partnered with HiBall Events, the organizers of Shamrock Fest and Blocktoberfest, to create the DC Jam Sessions 2008. Three music festivals will take place before D.C. United games at the RFK Stadium Festival Grounds in Parking Lot 8A and will feature live music on multiple stages from at least five bands and DJs at each Jam Session.
The final event will be Blocktoberfest on October 4, which will feature 15 bands and DJs starting at 1:00 p.m., before D.C. United takes on Chivas USA at 7:30 p.m.
The Jam & Game Ticket Package is available for $49.99 in advance and includes entry to the Jam Session, food, open bar, all non-alcoholic beverages, activities and amusement games, plus a Premium seat in the TV party section at the game that night.
