2017 CAN Golf Tournament

2017 CAN Golf Tournament

Don’t miss out on your chance to win an Acura!  Or your chance to play Pinehurst!  All this and more can be done at the annual CAN golf tournament.

As in the past, proceeds from this charity event will benefit the general scholarship funds of the three winning schools, determined by the "Post-Flight" system.  Please see below for more details.  Sign up now, because we’ll reach capacity quickly and you won’t want to miss this great day.

Please apply ASAP so we can make sure all information is in good order prior to the deadline.

Please verify that your chapter president is accurate on the application form before applying!!!  If the person listed is no longer your chapter president please contact your chapter leadership to have it changed on the website and then apply.  By not doing this, it will slow down your application process.

The application is a 3 STEP PROCESS.  Please see the “Application Process” section for detail, but be sure each of the following steps has been completed by 6pm on April 27th in order for your application to be considered:

1.   Apply online (an automated email is sent to your chapter president, so make sure your president’s information is current)

2.   Chapter president approves your application

3.   Once approved, an email with the payment link will be sent to the main coach to make payment

Chapter Considerations/Application process:

All schools in good standing in CAN may apply. March 7th begins open registration on a first-come, first-served basis. There is only room for 36 teams, but a waiting list will be maintained should a team decide not to participate or fail to pay by the deadline.  All teams must have the full support of the alumni chapter Board and must submit the chapter president's information along with their application. The chapter president will be notified to verify the alumni status of the person submitting the application. Upon verification by chapter president, the payment website address will be emailed to the coach.  May 5, 2017 6:00pm will be the application deadline and the waitlist will be cut off at that time.

The Post Flight System: Once the field is set, we use the number of teams to determine what place finishes will be awarded money. For example, if we have 30 foursomes, the 1st, 11th, and 21st place teams will all be declared "winner" of their respective flights.

Ties will be broken by comparing a group of pre-determined holes.

Thank you! If you have any more specific questions about the application process or the requirements/expectations for the teams please feel free to email Carrie Philips or Ashley Philips.
